[MUSIC FADE] BROOKE GLADSTONE: And finally, two weeks ago we asked you to choose a new jingle from a slate of contenders to be played when we discuss present and future business models for monetizing the newspaper industry. We got a big response. Actually, many of you liked the old one best, like John Maline who wrote: “In the name of all that is holy, keep the original jingle. It makes me smile every time I hear it.” But, as Aaron Burton wrote: “I liked the old one too, but sometimes things have to change, I guess.” We agree, Aaron. Sometimes you just have to give the barn a new coat of paint. So, in keeping with that rural metaphor, we give you the winning jingle:
NEW JINGLE SUNG: Present and future business models to monetize the newspaper industry.
BROOKE GLADSTONE: Who knows? Maybe the newspaper industry will figure out how to monetize itself and we can retire the jingle altogether.
