Merritt Jacob

The joy of creating and manipulating sound has fueled his lifelong pursuits of guitar and audio engineering as a long-time recording studio professional. After earning a B.A. in Music from the University of Arizona, he further developed high standards of excellence in audio, working at Trout Recording in Brooklyn, before landing jobs in the WNYC news room. There, working on a diverse range of broadcast features, he developed the radio editing and mixing skills that led him to the Freakonomics Radio team. He is a fan of WNYC Radio, Freakonomics, and all things sound-related.
