Cat Sposato

Cat is an Associate Procuer for The Takeaway, the public radio show and podcast hosted by Melissa Harris-Perry.

Cat Sposato is originally from the illustrious city of Passaic, New Jersey. She’s a Magazine Writing and Digital Storytelling Master’s student at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. She has her B.A. in English and Political Science from Columbia College of Columbia University. A first-generation Colombian-American, Cat is passionate about democratizing access to the airwaves and sharing the stories of historically-excluded voices.

She got her start in audio at Columbia’s independent radio station WKCR 89.9 FM. She then spent some time as an intern for the Alt.Latino podcast at NPR Music, where she covered Latin artists and pop music.

In her spare time, Cat enjoys watching 2010s teen dramas (with a special interest in Gilmore Girls, The Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill and All American), writing about popular culture and making Spotify playlists.
